Eye Update
Landon has been having trouble with his eyes pretty much since he was born. He has a lot of trouble controlling them and often will end up with one eye turned in. So, I took him to the eye doctor when he was about 6 months old and she diagnosed him with Infantile Estropia. Layman's terms...an eye turn. She said sometimes kids grow out of it by 6 months and since he was preterm, he was more like 5 months when she saw him. So, she wanted to wait a couple of months and see what happened. He did not outgrow it, but the good news is--he did improve! We went back last Friday (he's 8 months now) and she said there was a slight improvement in his vision and he is also learning to correct the eye turn by himself a little bit! That was great news! It is highly probable that he will still need glasses, but we're taking it 2 months at a time to see if he keeps improving. The doctor said she will wait until she sees no improvement between visits before she puts him in glasses.
